Natural Allergy Testing and Treatment

Sue Taylor - Allergy Testing - Allergy Treatment - The Allergy Co

Sue Taylor's Approach

I believe in providing a truly holistic approach to my clients' health concerns by determining the root cause of those health concerns, not just addressing symptoms. I consider allergies, intolerances, nutritional deficiencies, infections from bacteria / virus / parasites, and gut dysbiosis as well as any energetic, emotional blockages or intergenerational trauma, and structural imbalance.

Natural Allergy Therapy – Sue’s journey

I had always had problems with food allergies, suffering for many years with Irritable Bowel, sinusitis, fatigue, body aches and pains, brain fog and low thyroid for which I took meds.

In order to find relief, I had avoided certain foods, particularly yeast and milk, my worst allergens. I also had a severe allergy to coconut.

In 2003, I was introduced to NAET Allergy Therapy when my future husband Dominick started treatment for his own allergies and later completed the course to become a practitioner. It was natural that I became his first patient!

Following Natural Allergy Treatment, I found that I was able to return to eating all of the foods that had previously been a problem, including the coconut.

As someone with a science background, coming from a medical family, I was extremely skeptical, so I was blown away by the success of the treatments. This led me to pursue a career healing others with this amazing therapy.

Sue Taylor's Education and Experience

In 2004, I first certified in Holistic Massage, then later that year, completed a NAET allergy course at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London, UK.

I worked in several health clinics in England, including time with chiropractic and osteopathic practitioners, and in a conventional primary care medical setting. In Ottawa, I have spent time at the Seeker’s Centre for Integrative Medicine and working with the Integral Health Clinic.

In 2014, seeing a need for a truly holistic clinic in Ottawa, my husband and I founded Ottawa Holistic Wellness. When our clinic became a casualty of COVID in 2020 we opened The Complete Wellbeing Centre on Waverley Street.

I have had great success treating people of all ages, and also animals, including horses, for which I have had a lifelong passion, and cats and dogs.

To broaden my abilities, I have studied other modalities such as nutrition, bodywork systems, and mind-body techniques, all of which I incorporate into my work when needed.

Energy Healing

In addition to Natural Allergy Therapy, I also offer Energy Healing.

I have always been fascinated by the phenomenon of energy in the body and how it relates to everything around us. Since 2010, I have been mentored a Shaman and Tantric Healer, I have achieved Reiki level 3, attended a number of different workshops and training courses, and am honoured to have spent time with a First Nations Elder and Healer.

I am finding more and more frequently that my clients’ health concerns relate, at least in part, to stress, personal trauma, and intergenerational traumas.

More information on my approach to Energy Healing, Reiki and Chakra Balancing can be found at Wolf Healing.

Before Healing

I was born and raised in the UK, my father was an ENT consultant surgeon and my mother a physiotherapist.

I have a BSc in Environmental Science and Education, and my first job of 16years was as a front-line police officer in London, UK. This included ceremonial duties, Hyde Park demonstrations, marches and rallies, and 6 years on mounted horse patrol. As you can imagine, it taught me a whole lot about life.

Then, in 2005, I was diagnosed with cancer. A real wake-up call, but honestly, the best thing that ever happened to me! It changed my whole outlook on life and set me on a path of discovery, growth and self-development. I am still pursuing that path and will always be doing so.

Sue Taylor Outside of work

I live in the country with my husband and rescue cats. We enjoy good food, friends, music, the outdoors, and being active. I practice the wonderful sport of dressage with my horses, Dragoon and Kenzie, and, whenever possible, downhill skiing and hiking.

Thanks for reading, and I hope to meet you soon!
