Migraines
For as long as I can remember I have suffered from migraines that would leave me bed ridden for days. Over time I managed to link the onset to when I ate either Oranges or Cheese. This made life a lot easier but I was still frustrated by having to avoid these foods (especially cheese that I loved!) and also I would sometimes eat foods that unknowingly contained cheese that obviously gave me a migraine.
Early last year while working in a complementary health clinic I discovered NAET through a practitioner at the clinic. Although a little skeptical I decided to see if it could cure my allergies.
Amazingly after 4 treatments I was able to eat cheese and drink orange juice with no migraines!
Many Thanks,
Julie

Barratts Esophagitis
Some 5 years ago I began to suffer from severe heartburn and acid reflux. I went to the doctor who referred me for tests at the hospital. On examination it was found that the lining of my oesophagus had been badly damaged by the acid from my stomach. This is commonly known as Barratts Oesophagitis. I was subsequently given medication to reduce the production of acid in stomach. This did help reduce my symptoms however I was not convinced that it was getting to the actual cause. As a result I decided to look for help in complementary medicine. After trying herbal medicines that did not really help I came across NAET.
On the initial visit we discovered that I was allergic to the majority of the foods I eat. I have had NAET treatments over the last year. Over that time my symptoms steadily diminished (with the occasional dip). The damage to my oesophagus has much improved, I now have no heartburn and, I am now on half the dose of medication.

Lethargy and depression
I was at my wits end when I took my son, Toby, to see Dominick Hussey. I had seen my 6 year old change during the previous year from a healthy, happy, sporty, energetic child into a pale, thin, tired and depressed little boy. He had stomach pains, felt sick and wobbly, and was anxious and emotional. He no longer did any sports, and could rarely manage a whole day at school.
We saw four doctors, and had a series of blood tests, but to no avail. Toby became more anxious and distressed at the thought of more hospital visits.
Dominick diagnosed that Toby had a problem with about 12 different food groups. The NAET diagnosis and treatment were quick and painless, and amazing to watch. He advised us to avoid the worst food group (nightshade vegetables- potatoes, onions and tomatoes) while he treated the others one each week. After 24 hours, Toby’s depression lifted, and he gradually got stronger from then on. His stomach pains and sickness improved rapidly over the first 2 weeks. He was usually very tired on the day following his treatment, with a brief return of some symptoms, but would then become stronger as the week progressed.
Dominick was always ready to answer hundreds of questions about a method of treatment that was totally strange to me. His total, quiet confidence and intuition had a calming effect on me and my children, and indeed his perception of the stress felt by the family of a sick child helped us all. This support was most needed in the last few weeks, when the last few, but to Toby the most harmful food groups were being treated. As the foods he had a problem with became fewer, he became much more sensitive to them, so we had to be very careful to avoid them.
However, the joy of finally being able to eat these hitherto ‘forbidden’ foods was wonderful. We had pizza feasts and potato feasts to celebrate leading a normal life again. I no longer have to read all the labels when I shop at Sainsburys, or worry when Toby goes to a birthday party. He can eat anything and everything, and is now bursting with energy and vitality.
All thanks to Dominick.

Irritable bowel syndrome
In 1999 I developed symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome. They began soon after taking a course of antibiotics that were prescribed to me after an operation on my shoulder. Over the next year my symptoms persisted and despite numerous tests and investigations no cause could be found.
It was at this point that a friend of mine suggested that my problems might be due a food allergy. I asked my doctor what he thought but he gave the suggestion short shrift. Despite this rebuke I went along to a health food shop where they carry out allergy tests. The practitioner said that I was highly allergic to yeast. After only 2 days of avoiding yeast I felt almost normal again. I continued this for the next 4 years during which I could control my symptoms but also found I was sensitive to other foods as well including dairy and alcohol.
In 2003 I was introduced to Dominick who was a qualified NAET practitioner. He told me that he had studied NAET after it had really helped him with his allergy related problems. I was very skeptical but agreed to go ahead with the treatments. Over the next 6months I had a number of treatments and found, to my amazement, that I could eat all the things that had been making me ill.
It is now 3yrs later and I am still able to eat whatever I wish.
I was so impressed with the way that NAET had improved my life that I decided to become a NAET practitioner myself.

Emotional issues
I have always been a keen horse rider, competing in both dressage and jumping competitions.
A few years ago I broke my collarbone when a horse fell over with me. This left me with a real fear of jumping anything bigger than a couple of feet. On the approach I would freeze and stop the horse going forward. When I bought my new horse and started to do well jumping at the lower heights I wanted to progress.
I had heard that NAET could help with Emotional problems so sought out a local practitioner. This resulted in me seeing Dominick Hussey.
He assessed my problem and treated me for the underlying traumatic event. If I am honest, I did not see how the treatment he gave me could possibly improve my confidence when jumping bigger fences.
In my next jumping lesson imagine my surprise (and my instructor’s) when the fences went up and up reaching a height that would have petrified me before.
I now compete a couple of times a month jumping fences that are nearly 4ft high and thoroughly enjoy it!
Thank you Dominick!

Eczema
I consulted Dominic with my two girls, aged 10 months and 3 years because they had been diagnosed with milk allergies and my elder daughter suffered from terrible eczema. Within a few sessions we saw an improvement in both her eczema and her mood and at the end of the treatment her eczema had disappeared. We have been very impressed with NAET and would recommend the treatment to anyone with any concerns over allergies or eczema. Dominic was so patient with the children and built up a great relationship with both the children – a really gentle, genuine man and a great therapist.

Behavioural problems
My wife and I wanted to say thanks for everything you have done for my son. When we first came to you following a recommendation, our 6 year old son was a real handful. We were being called up to his school on a regular basis due to his aggressive & disruptive behaviour leaving us at the end of our tether.
My son was very unhappy and could not understand why he was acting that way and also why he was unable to control his impulses. You identified that he was sensitive to quite a few food groups and set about treating him. To be honest initially I was a little skeptical with the concept of the treatment involved but almost immediately saw an improvement.
A few months on and we now have ourselves a totally different child, he is so much happier in himself and even got a special mention in his school assembly for such a turn around in his behaviour. He has always been a loving child with an inquisitive mind and a real thirst for knowledge, but I feel he is now free to realise his true potential.
Thanks again,

Gluten and Wheat
I was diagnosed with Coeliac disease (gluten and wheat intolerance) 2 years ago after 3 weeks of being off work being physically sick and suffering from diahorrea every day. I subsequently lost a lot of weight and my hair started falling out. I have stuck to a gluten free diet ever since. But 9 months ago I started having all the symptoms again, I could not understand why, as I was very strict about what I eat. It was around this time I was finalising the preparations for getting married - a particularly stressful time and I believe this may have triggered my symptoms.
A friend of mine who had been to see Dominick who cured him of his wheat intolerance told me about NAET and what it meant. I was still not convinced but things got so bad it was affecting my quality of life and I had to try something. I began avoiding meetings at work; I hated traveling on the tube to work everyday and started getting panic attacks – feeling trapped.
Dominic started by testing me for allergies over the course of an hour and we soon found out that I was allergic to chocolate, plastics, caffeine and alcohol among other things. I immediately started to avoid the things he had diagnosed and after a couple of days started to feel slightly better. Over a period of six weeks he successfully cleared all those other allergies using NAET, meaning I can now eat them all without feeling ill, I feel so much better - I am starting to enjoy life again!
We have moved on to tackling gluten and wheat, I am now eating bread and biscuits, with little side effects. This whole treatment has changed my life, Dominic is a great practitioner and I would recommend anyone suffering with similar symptoms to try it out – I think you will be amazed with the results!

Sceptic Cured
I first started investigating kinesiology on the recommendation of my Occupational Health nurse at work to relieve symptoms of two intolerances (aspirin which has made me vomit since I was first given it about age 6; and shellfish which I'd only ever handled but not eaten which brought out a rash right up my arms). Sue's number was given to me by the receptionist at my doctor's practice. I haven't looked back since. Despite being skeptical about how on earth it could work I let Sue assess me, listen to my case history and then start to treat me. At the assessment appointment she correctly commented on things I suspected my body didn't like but I hadn't told her. After a few treatments I was able to successfully take aspirin, and on holiday eat crab and lobster for the first time (after some basic home tests recommended by Sue for my peace of mind where I just touched a lobster shell at first, to double check that my body's reaction to it was now cleared). I am so thrilled with the results and can't thank Sue enough. She also has a great relaxed manner which is professional, confident and friendly.

We were called to see a horse which had been suffering for several years with hives or urticaria. He would come up in large wheals all over his body during most of the year. They only improved when the weather was consistently very dry or below freezing. When we tested him we found the problem to be a reaction to moulds with an underlying emotional link to when he was separated form his mother for weaning. Over several weeks we treated him for moulds in the field, in his food, bedding, rugs and blankets. We also treated the underlying emotions. Once the mould and emotional issues were cleared he remained free from the hives for 3 years. They did then recur as there were some more emotional issues which surfaced and required treating. When cleared for these issues the wheals disappeared and he became a much happier horse, gaining weight and condition.

M.E. (Chronic Fatigue)
I had had M.E.(Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) for 34 years with a wide variety of symptoms ranging from food intolerance, to extreme fatigue, debilitating aches and pains, noise and light sensitivity, sweating, muggy head and headaches etc and my quality of life was very poor. I had tried just about every complimentary therapy under the sun and spent a small fortune doing so, but nothing gave me any long lasting or permanent relief.
A nutritionist I had been seeing had heard that NAET had had some success with M.E. patients and suggested I might benefit. To be honest I think she was at aloss to know what to do with me next!
From the onset of treatment my symptoms began to receed and gradually disappear. I now lead a normal life. I don’t have M.E. any more. I go to yoga, tai chi, drive on the motorway, do gardening, go for long walks, am able to use the computer and next Christmas I am going to Australia, flying the outward journey by myself.
Sue and Dominick are very caring therapists and I would not hesitate to recommend this treatment

Chronic M.E.
I came to Dominick in the spring of 2006 and have been attending his clinic regularly ever since. I have had chronic ME for 23 years and am aware that I am a complex patient to deal with. During the time I have known him, I have learnt to trust his judgement and appreciate his readiness to respond, sometimes at very short notice, to the crises and difficulties I experience. His ready sympathy and his intuitive and resourceful pursuit of solutions to my problems have been of real help and comfort to me. I look on him as a true friend and respect his honest and open approach to his patients. His skills as a NAET Practitioner, Osteopath and Naturopath have brought about a substantial improvement in my general health and I shall be very sorry to lose him.

Holistic Approach
Dominick Hussey is a gifted NAET practitioner. In the time that we have known Dom our general health has improved significantly. Dom addresses health issues on a holistic level, where he explores the emotional and physical aspects that join together to form what we are and how we function on a day to day level. His sessions have been informative journeys that have enlightened both my son and myself on how our bodies work and how our emotional centres affect our physical well being.
Dom is a warm person and his intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm for the benefits of NAET and Kinesiology for all his patients is clear to see.
We will miss his guidance and gentle sense of humour and wish him and Sue all the best for their life and work in Canada.
