Dominick Hussey
BSc (Hons) Ost Med, D.O., N.D., I.C.A.K., N.A.E.T.
Dominick began his working life as a Marketing Executive after graduating from Aston University in Birmingham, England with an honours degree in Managerial Studies.
After three years he decided working in the business world was not for him and set off on a 10 month trip backpacking around the world. On returning to England he looked into the idea of becoming a physiotherapist.
He was unable to get a place at a college but undeterred he looked into other therapies and eventually decided on Osteopathy. He was accepted on the 4 year degree course at the British College of Osteopathic Medicine. In June 1997 he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Osteopathic medicine, a diploma of Osteopathy and a diploma of Naturopathy.
He began his Osteopathic working life as an associate at the Aston Clinic in Surrey, England. It was here that he was first introduced to Applied Kinesiology or muscle testing diagnosis. Fascinated by AK he took a 100 hour AK Course run by the International College of Applied Kinesiology. With this new skill it gave him a deeper insight into his clients’ symptoms.
He has continued to develop and refine these skills including learning how to do allergy testing using AK. When looking for the cause of his osteopathic patients’ symptoms he found more and more that they linked to food and environmental intolerances. Getting clients to avoid certain foods would resolve their symptoms but to eliminate large food groups such as grains or dairy is not easy.
Later he found many emotional factors also played a strong role. To begin with he would use Bach Flower remedies to resolve these issues. Then in 2003 Dominick went to see a NAET practitioner and discovered that he too had a number of food intolerances. The practitioner used AK to identify his intolerances and then used an acupressure treatment to eliminate them.
For Dominick NAET was a great success and meant he could go back to eating foods that had previously given him problems. He immediately realised that what could help him would also benefit his clients and so booked himself on the next NAET course. Not only did his osteopathic patients benefit but also clients with other allergy related problems such as Asthma, Eczema, and Hayfever, ME and so on.
One of his first patients was his girlfriend (and future wife) Sue who suffered with IBS. She was helped and impressed so much by NAET that she changed her career from a police officer to a brilliant and successful NAET practitioner. |
Sue Taylor
BSc, ITEC Dip, NAET
Sue comes from a medical background, her father is a consultant surgeon and her mother a physiotherapist. She had always been interested in sciences and in 1988 she obtained a BSc from the University of Surrey, England.
Following this she spent 2 ½ years working in a stables and qualifying as a British Horse Society Riding Instructor before becoming a police officer in Central London. She worked as a police officer for 15 ½ years, during which time she spent 5 years on mounted patrol duties and 3 years as an officer safety instructor.
Sue had always had problems with food allergies, suffering from Irritable Bowel, sinusitis, lethargy and brain fog. For many years she had avoided certain foods, particularly yeast and milk, her worst allergens. She also had a severe allergy to coconut.
She was introduced to NAET when her future husband Dominick started treatment for his own allergies and later completed the course to become a practitioner. Naturally he treated her for her allergies and she found that she was able to return to eating all of the foods that had previously been a problem, including the coconut.
She had always found alternative therapies fascinating and in 2002 she decided to follow a career in this field.
In June 2004 she obtained an ITEC Diploma in Holistic Massage and began her career in the complementary health field. In October 2004 she qualified as a NAET Allergy Therapist and immediately started to work with allergy sufferers. She finds NAET to be very rewarding, and takes great pleasure in helping people to achieve a better quality of life.
Since qualifying she has successfully treated many allergy sufferers for a wide variety of allergic symptoms including unexplained Aches and Pains, Stomach and Intestinal Problems such as Heartburn, IBS, Wind and Bloating, Headaches and Migraines, Brain Fog, Sinusitis, Sore Throats, Asthma, Eczema, Acne, Lethargy and Fatigue, Insomnia, ADD, ADHD, Autism, Chronic Fatigue or ME and many more.
Sue has treated patients of all ages ranging from babies a few days old to senior citizens. She has also treated pets and has horses, dogs and cats among her patients.
From January 2009, Sue and Dominick are going to make the beautiful country of Canada their new home and are excited to be part of the team at the Integral Health Clinic.
