What is the difference between an allergy and a sensitivity?

Allergy and sensitivity are essentially the same thing - an inappropriate reaction by the body to a substance that is not harmful to it.

What is NAET?

NAET is a system for diagnosing allergies and sensitivities then effectively turning off your reactions to allergens.

What things do you test for?

The initial test will include foods and component parts of foods, environmental substance such as chemicals, perfumes, moulds, dust and pollens and also weather patterns and electro-magnetic frequencies (EMF) including cell phones, TVs, power lines, fluorescent lights.

When do I get the results of my test?

A t the end of the initial test you will be given a guide book listing your allergies and sensitivities. It will also contain information regarding which of those allergens are the biggest triggers for your current symptoms and advice on which items it may be helpful to avoid in order to relieve those symptoms.

What symptoms can you help?

Allergies are known to cause anaphylaxis, asthma, eczema, rhinitis and sinusitis. They also contribute to autoimmune disorders, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, headaches, chronic pain, irritable bowel syndrome, skin disorders, neurological and psychiatric diseases. For a more comprehensive list have a look at the table of symptoms on the page “NAET Treatment”

How often can I come for treatment?

This is entirely up to you, you can come every day or spread the treatments out. The end result is the same regardless of how often you come, it just takes longer to achieve if you come less frequently. Most people come once or twice a week.

How many things can you treat at each visit?

Each time you come we will treat as many allergens as the body will accept at that time. For stronger sensitivities this may be one at a time, but usually it is possible to treat more than one.

How many treatments will I need?

This varies from person to person. Usually people need around 10 treatments, but if you react to a large number of allergens you may need considerably more. For some people clearing the basics will actually result in you becoming desensitised to other allergens and reduce the number of treatments needed.

When I finished the treatments will I ever need to come back?

Statistics have shown that as long as the treatment is carried out correctly there is a negligible chance of the allergy returning. In cases where the allergen may change slightly from year to year you may have to return to be treated for the new allergen, e.g. Seasonal allergies can occasionally return as there are always new plant species being cultivated and therefore new pollens in the air.

Will your treatments totally cure me of my symptoms?

The straight answer is probably not. What we do will bring about a vast improvement in your health and well being and for a lot of people this is enough. However, you may wish to pursue other modalities to complete the healing. We can assess your needs and recommend suitable future treatments. Often this includes homeopathy.
